City of Hawley Seeking Chief of Police

The City of Hawley is accepting applications for Chief of Police for the city’s Police Department. Anyone, interested in the position, can pick up an application at the Hawley City Hall located at 783 Ave E in downtown Hawley. The application, also, will be on the City’s Website, along with the ‘TML’ website. Hawley is about 15 miles north toward Anson, off of Hwy 277, and 10 miles south of Anson in Jones County; Population is between 600-700, with an outstanding school system of over 700 students.


The former Chief of Police, David George, has resigned the position due to personal reasons, and all will miss him very much. The Citizens of Hawley wish him all the luck for the future. We thank him for all he has given to our city throughout the years of service.
