Local First Baptist Church pastor Dr. Jacob West has assisted his father-in-law Dale Morrison with the writing of a book titled, "Hope and Help from a Cancer Survivor: A Memoir of Faith Amidst Affliction." It is the story of Morrison’s battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and a central nervous system attack called progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy/JC virus.
Morrison focused on hope and faith during his battle and his testimony impacted many by the way that he handled the everyday challenges he was faced with. Morrison decided he needed to write about his experience through this book and also through an ongoing ministry called Hope and Help, so that he could be an encouragement to others, and show them how they can have a similar story themselves.
Dale Morrison resides near Abilene, Texas with his wife Nancy. He is an entrepreneur, land developer, and ordained minister. Dale is the founder of Hope and Help Ministry, a Christian outreach to cancer patients. Dale and Nancy have three grown children, Courtney, Emily, and Malory. They are blessed with eight grandchildren. Connect with Dale at www.HopeandHelp.net
Dr. Jacob West lives in Stamford, Texas with his wife Emily. Jacob received his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2013. He is the pastor of First Baptist Church in Stamford. Jacob and Emily have three young children, Ellie, Ryan, and Natalie.
West and Morrison’s book will be available at Noteworthy, and both will be present during Noteworthy’s Autumn Open House on October 31st from 2pm-4pm for a book signing.
