The Anson Chamber held its first Miss Merry Christmas Tea Party on November 5. During the tea party Miss Merry Christmas nominees and their parents were served refreshments and given information on the Christmas of Lights Parade and the Miss Merry Christmas Pageant on December 13. The Chamber hopes that the tea party can be an annual event each holiday season to show nominees and their families how much the Chamber appreciates their participation in the Miss Merry Christmas activities. Each year the Christmas of Lights Parade and Miss Merry Christmas Pageant bring visitors to Anson from all around the area. These events require lots of time and resources from parents and the Chamber to make it a continued success.
