Over 1,300 women of the Big Country attended Hendrick Bunco for Breast Cancer on Tuesday, October 14 at Taylor County Coliseum. The event is held yearly to broaden awareness of breast cancer, a disease that affects thousands of women daily. Whether affected personally by the disease or showing support for the cause, the women came together to enjoy three hours of fun playing Bunco. Funds raised during Bunco for Breast Cancer goes to help women who cannot afford mammograms. The theme for this year’s event was "Glamour," so sparkle, feathers and bling filled the air as cancer survivors and supporters took time to help support a cause that is in no way glamorous to those affected by it. For a brief three hour period, life was celebrated and hope was renewed for those breast cancer has and will affect.
