The Ladycats faced Albany Tigers on Tuesday, October 21st. The JV Maroon has some great action with scores of 25-23 going to the Ladycats and the second set of 25-15 made it a game win for Hawley.
JV White took the court next with 25-11, 25-18 and the game going to Hawley. The girls were in great form and handled Albany easily.
As the Varsity took the court, the stands were filling up for a much anticipated game between Hawley and the Lady Tigers of Albany. Hawley jumped to an early 6-1 lead within the first few minutes of the game, with some nail biting action from both teams. The gym was electric with enthusiasm and cheers from the fellow students and fans of the Ladycats. The first set went handily to the Ladies in their last home game of the season with a 25-14 win under the screams of approving fans.
Set two saw more great action with a much closer score throughout. Both teams went at each other like two war horses with almost impossible saves and kills from both sides of the net. As set two drew to a closing score of 25-15, the screams and cheers from the crowd were deafening as the Ladycats drew away from Albany. The last set was a real rocker, as the score flipped continuously between being tied, and each of the teams taking the lead in turn. The Ladycats finally started pulling away from the 13-13 tie, only to have the Lady Tigers pull back to within a point before steam rolling through the last four points to make the final score 25-19 win.
