The Anson Public Library provides citizens of the community a much needed resource with its availability. Visiting the library patrons are always greeted with a smile and a helping hand. Debbie Lytle has taken on the librarian position after former librarian, Katy Cook, moved on to pursue other career interests. Lytle was born and raised in Anson. She and husband Belvin have 4 sons and 5 grandchildren. They lived in the community until 1990 when she and Belvin moved to Iowa Park. The couple both retired and decided to move back to Anson in 2012. Lytle stated, “I will always love Anson, it's home.” Her moving away made her appreciate coming home.
As a retired teacher of 25 years, Lytle has had a love for education and reading. She taught Kindergarten and 2nd Grade and always loved children’s books. Lytle is hoping to give back to the community by being of service to those she helps at the library. Anson will always hold a place in her heart and so do the people of the community.
