New Year's Eve Benefit Dance - Fun for the Whole Family

Last year, a reunion of the bands Fly By Night Cattle Co. and Southern Heart, both featuring Gary Wimberly, was held on New Year's Eve. The surprise of the evening was that all money collected in donations was given to Gary at the end of the night. He and his family were very surprised and humbled by the outpouring of love from so many.
Gary Wimberly passed away in April of 2013. To carry on his memory, a Gary Wimberly Scholarship Fund has been started, and the first fundraising event will be another New Year's Eve Dance to ring in 2014.
The Dance will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. at the Round-Up Hall in Stamford, located next to the TCR Rodeo Grounds. Admission is FREE, but donations are appreciated and 100% of the proceeds benefit this scholarship fund.
The event is for ALL AGES. So bring your family, including the kids, and come out and have a great time. There will be music starting off the night at 8:30 p.m. with the band Southern Night, which includes Bo Wimberly, Gary's son who is a senior at Stamford High School. The reunion bands, Southern Heart and Fly By Night, will also play again this year.
There will be black-eyed peas to eat at midnight. Guests are asked to bring snacks, finger foods, and / or drinks to the dance.
An account will be set up at First Bank Texas in Stamford, for those wishing to make a donation to the Gary Wimberly Scholarship Fund, before or after the dance. Also, there will be items at the dance and on the Facebook page "STAMFORD BULLDOG NATION" for a silent auction.
Make plans now to come out New Year's Eve & bring the family for good music & good fun, to support a good cause.
