It only takes a few moments of speaking with new animal control officer, Stacy Hupperich, and you’ll realize she loves animals. Originally from Oakdale, California, she started as a dog groomer. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the United States Army. While stationed at Ft. Irwin in California, she worked as a veterinarian tech. After completing the Humane Law Enforcement Academy, she became an animal control officer in the Army. While serving in the Army, she traveled to Korea and Japan. Her husband, who is in the United States Air Force and stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, has just recently left for a four-month deployment.
Their house won’t be empty though. Stacy and her husband have three dogs and a cat. Two Blue Dobermans, Diesel and Pepper, and Red Heeler Lizzy will make sure their mom Stacy stays busy.
Stacy says they are loving small town life, and she is very excited to be working in Stamford. Before coming here, she worked as a vet tech at the Animal Clinic in Anson. She is looking forward to educating our community about animal and pet care. She will not only serve our town, but the communities of Haskell and Munday as well. Welcome, Stacy!
