It is Your Time

With this Tuesday ticking off the reminder of a new year, it marks the time to reevaluate one's goals. Lists are compiled and resolutions are made. It isn’t surprising that at the top many of the new year's resolutions is that for a healthy start to the New Year, whether a tune up after the Christmas holidays or a need to establish a totally new fitness regime. This year look no further than Your Time Fitness which will open its door for the first time on January 7th.

Located in the old Kinney’s building Your Time Fitness is a locally owned, 24-hour fitness center that has been designed to provide fitness and tanning services for Stamford and the surrounding area.

They will feature classes that are included with membership taught by local instructors Teresa Nauert of Stamford, Jennifer Bridges of Haskell, and Jason Hernandez of Abilene. They will also offer personal training with Chris Cerda and Teresa Nauert.

Jennifer Bridges will teach Fit In 40 which is a intense 40 minute workout focused on strength, toning, and cardio bursts. Jason Hernandez, also known as Zumba Jason, will teach a 45-minute Zumba class. Zumba is a latin-inspired dance class. Teresa Nauert will teach Piloxing which is a combination of pilates and boxing moves. Classes will be offered in the mornings and evenings starting at 5:00 am.

Featuring state-of-the-art equipment, they have Cybex Treadmills, Octane Ellipticals, Schwinn Cycles, Stair Master, Body Solid Weight machines, and free weights. They also have 55 inch TVs, as well as a separate classroom and aerobics area.

Individual membership will be $45 monthly, $40 with a six-month contract, and $35 with a one-year contract. With an individual membership, the cost is $20 for each additional family member. They will also offer a military and law enforcement discount. Access will be gained by use of a key fob, card, or pin number. There will be a security system in place at all times.

As far as tanning services, they offer standing and laying tanning beds for a small fee of $20 with a six- membership or longer and $40 per person with a monthly membership.
